We spent an evening at the University of Portsmouth Creative & Cultural Industries Graduate Show 🎓

<p>We're seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join our team, specialising in React (Next.js) and React Native development. The ideal candidate will have strong CSS skills and experience with CSS-in-JS libraries. </p><p>You’ll collaborate with our design and backend teams to produce clean, performant and accessible user interfaces across web and mobile platforms.</p><hr/><h2>About Us</h2><p>Established in 2001, Si digital has worked with big names across the world (Hasbro, Amcor, Wightlink, Co-op – and some we can’t name). We design and build bespoke websites, back office systems, custom software  and mobile apps as well as our own internal hack projects. We maintain long lasting relationships with our customers and only work with people that share our core values.</p><p>You’ll be joining a growing team of developers who enjoy collaborating and helping each other out. <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul class="list-bullet"><li value=1>Develop responsive, high-performance web applications using Next.js</li><li value=2>Contribute to our mobile app development using React Native</li><li value=3>Implement UI designs with precision and attention to detail</li><li value=4>Write clean, maintainable code following best practices</li><li value=5>Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and project managers</li></ul><p></p><h2>Desired Skills</h2><ul class="list-bullet"><li value=1>2+ years of experience with React and Next.js</li><li value=2>Experience with React Native development</li><li value=3>Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript</li><li value=4>Strong understanding of CSS and experience with CSS-in-JS libraries (particularly Styled Components)</li><li value=5>Ability to translate design mockups into functional interfaces</li><li value=6>Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL</li></ul><h2>Beneficial Skills</h2><ul class="list-bullet"><li value=1>Experience with animation libraries such as Framer Motion</li><li value=2>Knowledge and understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR)</li><li value=3>Knowledge of web accessibility standards and implementation techniques</li></ul><p><strong>Please note, you will need to be UK based in order to travel to occasional client meetings and attend monthly in-person team days in our studio.</strong></p>

React Frontend Developer

<p>Some recent new client wins, and our continued development of existing client projects, means we are now looking for a PHP developer to join the team.</p><p>You will have at least 4 years commercial experience in modern PHP development and MVC Frameworks, ideally using Laminas (although we’re happy with other similar frameworks). You’ll be keen to get stuck in to supporting existing client projects and also working on new, greenfield builds. <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul class="list-bullet"><li value=1>Work with a small development team to create new digital products for a range of interesting customers</li><li value=2>Developing bespoke web APIs to be consumed by our frontend applications</li><li value=3>Triaging helpdesk tickets and helping clients with issues or requests for work</li><li value=4>Work on in-house hack projects, which will define the company direction</li></ul><p></p><h2>Desired Skills</h2><ul class="list-bullet"><li value=1>You feel at home in modern PHP 8</li><li value=2>Knowledge of using object-oriented principles to solve problems</li><li value=3>You have experience using JSON based RESTful APIs</li><li value=4>You have a solid understanding of using Composer</li><li value=5>Experience using Docker</li></ul><p></p><h2>Beneficial Skills</h2><ul class="list-bullet"><li value=1>You have experience with at least one PHP MVC framework, we use Laminas</li><li value=2>You have an interest in Sysadmin and DevOps.
