Project Manager

We are looking for a project / studio manager to work closely with the team and our clients to ensure new projects are delivered smoothly and support work is completed accurately.

We've always been proud of our sensible approach to project delivery and the level of communication we have with our clients. As we've grown and taken on more clients we now need a dedicated project / studio manager to ensure we maintain the highest quality.

You will be working closely with all members of the team at throughout the project – from kick off meeting onwards.

You will have some experience of managing projects and clients to ensure projects are running smoothly and delivery dates are being met. You will also be adept and managing a busy ticketing system ensuring client requests are dealt with within agreed SLAs. This will also include reporting to and meeting with clients regularly.

  • Ensure JIRA support tickets are maintained, to include regular meetings with senior team to highlight problems or deteriorating tickets
  • Working with senior team to make sure that unassigned tickets get assigned quickly
  • Ensuring staff timings are complete and making sure comments are left in work logs
  • Hosting regular planning meetings with clients and Si digital team to forecast work for the coming weeks
  • Combining planners and holiday calendars to ensure there are no resource allocation issues
  • Running new projects alongside team, which may include daily stand-ups and sprint planning
  • Budget monitoring and forecasting to ensure we’re on track
  • Setting milestones for various stages of the project, which would include a demo to staff/client to display progress and functionality

    PHP Developer

    We are looking for a PHP Developer to join the Si digital studio based in Southsea, Portsmouth.

    Ideally you will have some commercial experience but we are really happy to train and develop your career if you have the passion to learn. You will be working closely with various members of the team to produce a variety of exciting projects for our clients.

    The typical Si digital stack

    You may not have experience with any/all of the below, but if you have a passion to learn something new we’d still love to chat to you.

    • Zend Framework 3 with Docker
    • AWS – EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS
    • Node.js for backend micro services or for Server Side Rendering React apps
    • ReactJS with SSR and Webpack

    Essential skills

    • Some PHP knowledge. We use Zend Framework 2/3, but welcome applications from people with knowledge of any framework.
    • Passion to learn new technologies
    • Excellent communication skills over email and phone

    Beneficial skills

    • Knowledge of AWS services, we use a wide range for various microservices including Lambda, SNS, SQS
    • Experience with Node.js, we have a number of applications that utilise AWS Lambda to offload computation heavy tasks such as PDF generation at scale using Node and Lambda
    • Version control (Git)
    • A love for container services such as Docker
    • Experience with front end development including vanilla Javascript
